Ahead of the Algorithm

The project management paradox begins before the first task is assigned. Too often, a methodology and software are chosen before the project itself is fully understood. That may work for straightforward projects and tasks. Complex engineering and multidisciplinary programs demand deeper thinking about dependencies, risk, resources, controls and governance. The question isn’t which software tool should manage the project. It’s what kind of project are we actually managing?
